William “Billy” F. Fennessey
William “Billy” F. Fennessey, 68, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022, following a brief illness. Billy was a life-long resident of Somerville, MA where he made many friends and memories in the city that he loved. He enjoyed the simple things in life, listening to classic rock music, watching old movies, and most importantly, spending time with friends and family. Billy was an avid reader, a Boston sports enthusiast, and nature lover. Whether camping, fishing, whitewater rafting or watching stormy weather, Billy loved it all. He also played a mean game of horseshoes. With his quick wit, Billy was the life of the party. Always ready with a fantastic story or joke; his laugh and smile were infectious and will be sorely missed.
Loving son of the late William and Doris Fennessey, Billy leaves behind his daughter, Lynn and her husband, Mark Mucha, of Groton, MA; his sister Catherine and her husband Luis Martinez of Woodside, NY; brother Robert and wife Patricia of Nashua, NH; sister Maureen and her husband John Bernis of Melrose, MA. Billy is also survived by his grandchildren, John and Anna, as well as many nieces and a nephew, all whom he loved dearly.
Billy will forever be remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Billy will be mourned privately by his family.

Dearest Fennessey Family,
Nancy and I are heart broken. It has taken me awhile to put into words the loss felt. So many fun times spent together and laughs. Nancy and I feel fortunate that we could visit with Billy recently. He was his typical jokester self even with what he was up against. We are so sorry that we are not closer so as to toast Billy with all of you but know that we will always remember him and love the fact that he was part of our lives. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. Much love, Greg and Nancy
