William “Billy” Guarino

William “Billy” Guarino, 57, Saugus, formerly of Revere, Nov. 6. Beloved son of Marjorie Greenstein & Fred Guarino, dear brother of Lisa Goyette, Jason & Fred Guarino Jr., Joshua Greenstein, Tony & Matt De Marco, dear stepbrother to Lisa Lewis, Steve & Phil Greenstein, beloved uncle of several nieces & nephews. Growing up and living in Revere most of his life, Billy had a love for all things rock and roll. An excellent guitar player, he played with lots of different local musicians and friends in various local establishments and especially in clubs located along Revere Beach, more so in his younger days. Never losing his appreciation for guitars, he owned and collected several classic guitars over the years. Quick witted with a dry, but maybe a little twisted, sense of humor, it was hard not to smile and laugh in his presence. Billy had a tremendous love for family, he always appreciated having all the family around, maybe because he could keep trying out those crazy jokes all the time. Even though he really never realized it, he was loved by all his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all.

The deepest abyss of pain and grief the human spirit can endure, is the death of your child. For every moment you lose a little hope, your loved one is whispering…..I am with you. Freddy and Margie, I am truly so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Billy as the handsome, funny, good kid he was. May God give you the strength to bare it all.

I want to wish my condolences to Billy’s entire family and to all his close friends. I’ve known Billy since I was a little girl, he was one of my brother – Chuck Vitale’s best friends. Billy was like part of our family when we were growing up. We all loved his crazy and funny sense of humor. I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

Billy was one of the nicest, kindest people I’ve known. Long after his Dad and I had parted ways (though always remaining friends), Billy was always there to help out, if I needed a hand. What a sweet soul. He had a way of making everyone feel special, but it was Billy who was really special. I am so sad now. And, I am so sorry for your family who loved you so much. You were always family to me, Billy. You were loved.

I have no word. Only tears. Music and laughter flowed from Billy like water in a stream, always making everyone around him laugh and feel good. Realizing this, my tears transfer from tears of sadness to tears of joy, as he will most certainly progress in this cycle of life. There are many on the other side that we have lost, waiting with open arms for him. Remember that Billy would always want us to keep laughing and smiling and to keep listening to the message that lies in the beauty of music. His song carries on…………………. I send deep spiritual meaning and respect to Billy and his loved ones………….Love you my friend!!!
