Victor Buonfiglio

Victor Buonfiglio, Managing Partner

CANA-Certified Cremation Specialist

Victor is responsible for the company's overall operations. His primary focus is customer experience and business development.

A graduate of Revere High School, he attended the funeral service program at Mt. Ida College. He received his Funeral Directors License in 1995.

Victor is passionate about "reducing customer effort." He pioneered utilizing digital signatures and online cremation arrangements dating back to 2012. He developed a step-by-step planning guide that allowed customers to self-select only the services they wanted, putting them in total control of the arrangement process.

When he's not working, you'll often find this self-proclaimed foodie with his wife, Carrie, at one of his favorite restaurants or spending time at the lake with their three children and two bullmastiffs.

Victoria Scaramzzo

Victoria Scaramuzzo, Location Manager.

Victoria Scaramuzzo manages the day-to-day operations at our Malden location. A Licensed Funeral director, skilled embalmer & restorative artist with 24 years of experience, she has helped thousands of families. She is well-known amongst her peers as a leader in her field.

She holds an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from the Funeral Institute of the North East and is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Massachusetts.

When she isn't at work, she enjoys taking her dog Biaggio for walks on Revere Beach and creating memories with her two nephews, three nieces, family, and close friends.

Victoria believes that Funeral Service has never been just her job but a calling. She is committed to bringing care, compassion, comfort, wisdom, and guidance to every family she serves.

Michael Weigand

Michael Weigand, Funeral Director.

As a funeral director, Michael has been honored to assist and guide families through planning meaningful and dignified arrangements after losing a loved one.

Before joining Boston Cremation in 2023, Michael worked at various funeral homes throughout Metro Boston and the Merrimack Valley. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2011. Michael is also a Notary of the Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from the former New England Institute at Mt. Ida College. He is also a graduate of the Selected Independent Funeral Homes Leadership Academy.

When he is not working, Michael and his wife, Christine, enjoy day trips or vacations to northern New Hampshire and Vermont. They also enjoy bringing their two dogs along with them.

Michael's empathy and compassion drive him to assist families during one of the toughest moments in their life.

Virginia Torti, Director of Advanced Planning.

Virginia began her career with Boston Cremation in 2017. Since then, she’s held many positions, including; funeral director, general manager, and most recently, Directory of Advanced Planning.

Recognizing the importance of educating the community on cremation and the benefits of planning in advance, part of her job is traveling throughout the Commonwealth and offering information on how we can help before and after someone passes.

"Being a part of Boston Cremation and growing professionally with a progressive, forward-thinking company has been very exciting. We are Part of a team here, and we never stop learning about what we can do better to help the families who chose us."

Before Boston Cremation, Virginia started working at a local funeral home fresh out of high school and quickly fell in love with helping others.

"It's been over 20 years working full time, and I still feel part of a bigger picture."

Virginia has a passion for all things music. She started piano lessons as a 5-year-old with a natural progression to guitars and, eventually, electric guitars. By age 16, she joined her first rock band. Many years and projects later, Ginn still regularly performs with her band.

When not working or entertaining, Virginia spends time with her partner Jay, their families, adorable English Bulldog Elvira, and a beautiful Dudley Lab, Marley.

Brian Poulin

Brian Poulin, Registered Apprentice.

Brian Poulin, a Registered Apprentice at Boston Cremation, helps handle day-to-day operations and upkeep in our Malden location.

Brian has been an apprentice at Boston Cremation since March 2023. Before joining the team at Boston Cremation, he worked in the service industry for the last decade at various restaurants in the Boston Metro area. He will be attending North Shore Community College starting Fall 2023 to earn his associate degree in Funeral Services.

When he isn’t working, Brian enjoys hiking with his partner and spending time with his beloved cat. He also enjoys going out to the movies, making art, and helping organize local music shows for bands from all around the world.

Brian is driven by the belief that everyone, no matter who they are or what they’ve done in this life deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. He strives to treat families and their loved ones with as much compassion as possible.
