Ann Bromberg

Ann D. Bromberg of Billerica, MA passed away on December 21, 2022 at Brightview Concord River surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born on January 19, 1922 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Lazzaro Zermani and Mary (Aprile) Zermani.  She was married to Carl Bromberg who passed away in 1987.

Ann cherished the family home that Carl built for her on Winning Pond. Her home was surrounded by bountiful gardens and wildlife. She was visited by flocks of geese which she claimed to detest, but which she continually fed with grains every summer. Her back lawn was well fertilized! Ann shoveled snow and mowed the lawn into her nineties, and she lost only one mower to the pond!  She also loved her long-time neighbors on the pond who were a source of companionship and support.

For many years, Ann and her friends would drive all over MA and NH trying a new restaurant for lunch every Wednesday. They could have written a book about their adventures, including unique reviews of each restaurant.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, her husband Carl, her siblings Corinne Miller, and John, Arthur, and Andrew Zermani.  She is survived by three devoted daughters Carol Mace (Randy Bell), of Bedford, NH, Linda Rust (Larry Cook) of Essex, MA, and Christine Russell (William) of Raleight, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Joseph and Andrew Mace and their spouses Jennifer Mace and Elizabeth Groeger; and Cody, Brett, Conor, and Brooke Russell; as well as two great grandchildren, Joshua Harrison and Anna Mace.

The family wishes to thank the staff and community of Brightview Concord River who cared so well for Ann these past two years.  We also wish to express our appreciation to Brighton Hospice for their services to Ann.

Graveside services will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA later this spring.
