Alfred R. Cyr 87, of Billerica, MA, entered into eternal peace on December 12, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elaine A. (Brown) Cyr, and his 4 daughters:  Donna Hyder and her husband Rick, Linda Cyr and her partner Bill Russo, Janet Healey and her husband Kevin, & Carol Petrusewicz and her husband Dave.  He is also a proud grandfather to 7 grandchildren: Andrea Forest and her husband Tom, Ryan & Brendon Doherty, Brendon & Matthew Healey, Christopher Hyder, and Mary Elizabeth Petrusewicz.  

He was the son of the late Helier & Mary E. (Turbine) Cyr, of Canada, and loving brother to Yvonne, Loretta, George, Frank, Leo, and Margaret.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

A former member of the Army National Guard, he enjoyed hiking & camping for many years with his family, had a strong love of nature and animals, teaching canoeing lessons to many.  He owned his own business, and had many loyal friends and customers.  

Fred was known for his sense of humor, and often would be quick to get the entire room laughing – no matter the occasion.  A real “people” person, everyone truly enjoyed his company.  

His love of God and family were immeasurable, he was strong in faith, and dedicated to his family and church.
