Altagracia “Alta” Jimenez, of Boston, MA, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the age of 54 following a 12 year battle with metastatic cancer.
Altagracia was born to Luisa Davila and the late Bolivar Hally on November 21, 1965.
Alta was known to light up any room she entered with her lively spirit and unfiltered sense of humor. She was the contact her family called on in a time of need. Some thought she was a lawyer in another life. She was a master debater and always took a unique and creative approach to life. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the occasional trip to the Foxwoods and singing and dancing to her favorites, Enrique Iglesias, Jon Secada and Gloria Estefan.
Altagracia will live on in the hearts of her five children, Luisa Manzueta, Alfonso Manzueta, Julissa Jimenez, David Guante and Jaryel Jimenez. She was lovingly known as “Lela” and will be missed dearly by her six grandchildren Ahlyssa, Davianna, Karla, Aiden, Savannah and Sebastian. She is also survived by her brother Bolivar Hally; sisters Virginia Corporan, Carmen Echavarria, Maria Rivera, Carmen Davila and numerous extended family members.
Altagracia will be privately cremated and a celebration of life will take place at later time when it is safe to do so. Please keep Alta’s family in your thoughts as she will be deeply missed.
