Andrea (Almeida) Miller

It is with deep sadness that I announce the unexpected passing of Andrea (Almeida) Miller on 06-20-21 at the age of 39. Born in Fall River Massachusetts Andrea was the daughter of Susan M (Sasso) Almeida and the late Michael A Almeida. She was the wife of Tad Miller. She is also survived by her son Collin Booth and stepson Cameron Miller. In addition she leaves her sister Angela Almeida of Swansea, her brother Dr. Adam Almeida his wife Michaela of Charlton Massachusetts. Andrea also leaves her 3 nephews, Benjamin Warner of Swansea, Jack Almeida and Luke Almeida of Charlton Massachusetts.

Andrea was a graduate of BMC Durfee highschool. She worked as a dog groomer. She was employed for many years at Twin Beau D Kennels in Swansea. And most recently at the Pet Salon in Portsmouth Rhode Island.

Andrea was an advocate for the rescue of animals, especially dogs. On many occasions over the past year she made several trips driving across the country to rescue dogs in Texas. Her passion for helping sick, injured or homeless dogs in need was immeasurable. She believed that because dogs could not speak, she would be their voice and speak for them. Helping them to be placed in good stable homes where they would be loved and well taken care of. If only for foster or forever homes she kept contact with these precious animals.

Andrea also loved performing in theater. And she loved to dance. Andrea was quite the “hoofer”. She looked for any opportunity to dust off and break out her tap shoes. And she would never disappoint.

Andrea will be sadly missed by her many friends, family and her beloved pets. She was also the granddaughter of Mariano and Antoinette Sasso and Albert and Rosalina Broccoli.

Andrea’s arrangements were private at her request. We will be celebrating her life at a later date.

Andrea, my God do I miss you with all my heart. The Bonnie to my Clyde. The absolute love of my life. In a years time I fell so madly deeply in love with you and could not wait to marry you after you said yes to my proposal. By now, our baby you were pregnant with would have been born and we would be getting married on August 14th of this year in just the next two months. My heart breaks every day I wake up to your picture by our bedside. I wish you never left this world as I feel so lost without you still a year after your passing. Please continue to watch over me and our dog Lagertha as she misses you deeply as well. I love you soooo much Andrea and I will see you again some day just not yet.

    Your love,
    Michael “Clyde” Arruda
