Anthony Aleksa

1954-2023

With great sadness, the Aleksa family shares the passing of their beloved brother, uncle and great uncle, Anthony Aleksa.

Anthony Aleksa, 68, of Malden, Massachusetts passed away on August 12, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was born on November 14, 1954, in Lynn, Massachusetts.

He was the son of the late Alphonse and Helen (Kondratowicz) Aleksa, predeceased by his sister, Diane Aleksa, and brothers, Paul, Walter and Alphonse Aleksa Jr.

He is survived by his loving family, including his sister and guardian Patricia Rose and her husband James of Hampton, New Hampshire and a brother, Donald Aleksa of Rohnert Park, California. His niece, Kathryn Bouffard and her husband Jason, and his great nephews, Colin and Conor of Amesbury, Massachusetts. His nephew Jonathan Rose of Epping, New Hampshire.

Anthony had such a kind heart and beautiful smile. To be with him was an honor. We had great family cookouts, a memorable Patriots game, his niece’s wedding reception at the late Judy and Richard Bouffard’s home in Groveland, meeting his great nephews for the first time, going out to restaurants and ending every get together with a stop at Dunkin Donuts. Anthony was an avid Dunkin Donuts fan. He also loved walking to Dunkin Donuts.

Anthony was a member of the Triangle, Inc. community for over 20 years, having lived at the Lawrence Street group home and attended the Triangle, Inc. workshop both in Malden, Massachusetts. The Triangle Lawrence Street group home was his second family. He enjoyed cooking for his housemates and created many memorable memories together with them. Triangle, Inc recognized his abilities and enabled him to have many wonderful opportunities. He was a member of the Bashers softball team, attended Best Buddies activities and volunteered at My Brothers Table in Lynn, serving meals to the needy. He liked to vacation each summer at the Oceanwood and Grotonwood camps.

The Aleksa family appreciates all the love and support during this difficult time.

There will be a private Catholic funeral mass and burial. A celebration of life will be held at a future date for family and friends to come together and honor Anthony’s memory.

Rest In Peace, Anthony. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved you.
