Carol L. Canario


Carol L. Canario of Laconia, NH passed away peacefully at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family, on December 28, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley. Carol was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Born in Boston on January 13, 1941 to the late William and Louise Brown (Chase). Carol was raised in Brighton. Carol forever considered Billerica her home as that is where she raised her five children. The youngest of four siblings, Carol retained a constant, strong sense of family throughout her life. 

Carol is survived by her longtime companion Chandler Robinson. Mother of Steven Canario and his wife Patricia of Melrose; Glenn Canario and his wife Faith of Holden, Paul Canario and his wife Rose of Billerica; Bruce Canario and his partner Erin Prindle of Haverhill and Carol’s daughter Susan Brown who predeceased her. Mother-in- law of James Brown of Billerica. Carol is survived by 11 grandchildren; Sarah, Hannah, Andrew, Chris, Jill, Michael, Allyson, Katelyn, Olivia, Kyle, Adam and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind Chandler’s daughter Kate, her husband Joseph and their children Joseph and Ella of Hudson, NH. 

Funeral services are private. A memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at Boston Cremation in Malden Massachusetts on January 12 from 10am – 12noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
