Cynthia Curtis Stehfest, age 96, a longtime resident of Hamilton, MA, and most
recently of Beverly, MA, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023.

Cynthia was the youngest child of Mr. Pierson and Dr. Winifred Curtis, born on
June 13, 1927. She attended Northfield Academy and was a graduate of Cornell
University, class of 1948.

Cynthia was most content spending time at her home on Bailey Island, Maine. She
enjoyed many summers in the company of her mother on the island. Well into her
80’s, she enjoyed gathering driftwood on the beach to use for an art project or to
keep her little cottage warm. She had an artist’s eye for color and each room in
her cottage was color coordinated.

Cynthia was predeceased by her loving daughter, Sarah Kimball and her husband
David. She is survived by her children, Timothy Stehfest and his wife Nancy of
Hamilton, MA, John Stehfest and his wife Estella of San Jose, CA, Susan Stehfest
and her partner, Gregory Phillips of Concord, NH, as well as six grandchildren and
three great grandchildren.

Cynthia wishes to spend eternity on Bailey Island, so her ashes will be spread at
