David Flynn


David Flynn Retired Pipefitter Local 537, (70) Winthrop MA passed away December 5th after a short battle against cancer at home with his beloved wife Marilyn and daughters, TerriEllen Wood VT, Laurie Pangburn FL, Wendi Towers Woburn, Bonnie Flynn, Revere, and dog Annie at his bedside. Raised in Revere, graduated from Revere High School in ’61, married his high school sweetheart Marilyn Ginsburg in ’62 then moved to Winthrop. They were married 51 years. Accepted to Pipefitters L. U. 537 in ’63, served as vice president, delegate to New England Pipe Trades Convention, and National Pipe Trades Convention; retired with 39½ yrs. Extremely patriotic, passions included gardening, astronomy, boating, hunting and fishing; member of Lynn Fish & Game Protection Assoc., participated in the first MA Hunter Safety Prog. and Young Water Fowlers Training Prog. A member of the Elks Lodge 1078 of Winthrop. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and entertaining family and friends in Concord VT; also, Jamaica for the last 16 years. Lovingly survived by his son-in-law Mark E. Wood and grandchildren Becky and Zack, VT; son-in-law Michael Towers, Woburn, grandson Daniel Zizza, Salem and David Carver Revere.
