Deborah Ann (McPherson) Drebit, age 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 30, 2021. She was born on May 23, 1959 in Melrose, MA.

Debbie met her husband Stephen as a teenager on Lynn Beach. They married at the First Baptist Church in Melrose on September 8, 1979. Debbie and Stephen renewed their vows at St. Florence Church in Wakefield on February 8, 1986. They have two children, Brandon and Andrea.

Debbie worked at Eastern Bank until she found her ideal career with Woburn Public Schools in 2002. Of all the things in Debbie’s life, she lived for her family, adored her students at school, and valued her friendships. She shared her loving, loyal, and sarcastic personality with everyone she met. Above all else, her life gained new meaning when she became “MeMe.”

Debbie was predeceased by her mother Cynthia. She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, son Brandon, wife Alexis Drebit, daughter Andrea, husband Eddie Correia, and her grandchildren Jordan, Ava, Sophie, Violet, Matthew, and Jason. She is also survived by her brothers Michael McPherson and Charles McPherson, along with many adoring nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Please join us in celebrating Debbie’s life at 10:00am Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield MA, 01880. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the church prior to the Mass starting at 9am. There are no capacity limits, everyone is invited to come. Masks will be available.
