Eleanor M. Golden

Eleanor ‘Big Ellie’ (Ford) Golden, age 75, lifelong resident of South Boston passed away peacefully after a brief illness on the 4th of February, 2019, lovingly surrounded by her family.
Ellie was the matriarch of the family, and her home was the center point. A place where you could guarantee yourself good conversation, a strong cup of coffee, and fierce games of Yahtzee and Gin. Ellie is survived by her three daughters, Doe of Dorchester, Annie of Hanson, and Little Ellie of South Boston. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie, Caitlin, Bobby, and Pat, as well as her great granddaughter Briella and countless other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the wonderful Kaplan Family Hospice House by check payable to Care Dimensions, mailed to 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923. Services will be held at a later date.
