Errol Hinds

Avid Skier, Movie Critic, Yankees Fan, Friend

Errol Hinds, 62, died Dec. 21, 2020.

Born in England to Edith Irene (Wade) Hinds and the late James Darnley Hinds, Sr., Errol is lovingly remembered by his mother Edith; daughters Leslie and Valerie (Joshua); brother James Hinds II (Alma); sister Noela Anderson; aunt Cordell Hinds; Cynthia Jacques; grandsons Derrick and James; nephews; nieces; grandnephews; grandnieces; cousins and many dear friends.

Errol became a US citizen, and later attended Connecticut College. An entrepreneur, Errol founded several small businesses, including the former MA-based Airport Direct Shuttle, Inc.

Errol’s passions were family, friends, music, politics, and sports. He loved skiing, especially double-black diamonds and ski-at-your-own-risk runs in the US, Canada and Europe. “The only team in sports” he cared about was the New York Yankees! Multiple news sources kept him current with news and politics around the world. He loved listening to all types of music and had the rare ability to name the artist and song after hearing the first 2-3 notes. Absolutely an avid moviegoer and critic, Errol had his own rating system for correctly predicting Awards winners. He enjoyed playing tennis and softball with friends and coworkers, and was a successful matrimonial matchmaker, too! Friends and family greatly miss his humor, compassion, and love.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Care Dimensions Hospice (www.caredimensions.org).
