Freda Veronica (Hyatt) DiMeo, known affectionately as Freda, passed away on August 7, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was 67 years old. Freda was born on June 27, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Irene Lena (Houde) Hyatt and Fred Wilson Hyatt.

Freda was a funny, kind, generous, and loving person who always wanted to help others. She had a vibrant personality and brought joy to everyone around her. Freda will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John DiMeo, and their children, Angela Ghatto, Linda Santos, and Robert Severino. Freda was preceded in death by her parents and had no siblings.

Freda attended Medford High School for her primary education and later graduated from high school in Medford, Massachusetts. She did not pursue higher education.

In her career, Freda owned a Nursery, where she lovingly cared for young children from 1976 to 1986.

Freda enjoyed music and dancing in her free time. These hobbies brought her immense happiness and allowed her to express her joyful spirit.

A cremation service will be held at Boston Cremation, located at 287 Main Street in Malden, Massachusetts. Visitation details and time are yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers or contributions to a specific charity, the family has not indicated a favorite charity for donations.

Freda DiMeo’s life will be celebrated and remembered by her family and friends beginning with visitation on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Boston Cremation, 287 Main St. Malden. She will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
