Geraldine Babins

Geraldine Babins bravely fought cancer for over a year and lost her battle on June 26, 2021. She grew up in West Brookfield, MA and graduated from David Prouty High School in 1967. She earned her LPN degree in 1969 from the Mass Soldiers Home and went on to earn her RN degree from North Shore Community College in 1975. Throughout her life she worked in many nursing homes in the Cape Ann area including the Huntress Home, Greycliff Nursing Home, Denmar Nursing Home and Seacoast Nursing Home. She also worked as a visiting nurse in Florida for several years while living there, and in the North Shore for Viability. She found it very fulfilling to work with elderly patients.

She was an avid beach lover and spent many summers at Plum Cove Beach. She loved to travel and had many memorable trips to the tropics and Canada. She was also a great cook and enjoyed baking for friends and family. She is survived by her beloved cat Josie and was an animal lover her entire life.

Geri is survived by her daughter, Courtney Nason and her partner Bjorn Osmundsen (residing in Wakefield, MA), and former husband Earle Nason III (residing in Gloucester, MA). She is also survived by her sisters Donna Little and Debbie St. Martin and brother Dana St. Martin along with her nieces Tara Little and Whitney St. Martin and nephew Jerome McDaniel and their families.

My sister Geri will surely be missed. Growing up in West Brookfield we had many laughs over some of the pranks we pulled( just kid stuff), over the years my kids looked forward to going to Aunt Geri’s house, it was vacation time to them. We recently had gone to her 50th Class Reunion and had such a great time, three sisters together♥️,I have reminders of her in my home, her artsy wooden Cats, that I see everyday. R.I.P She fought a courageous fight, will be together again one day,Love your Sister Donna☹☹♥️♥️

I think of you everyday and miss you my dear friend. We had so many fun times working together. My fondest memories are dinners at your favorite place, our trip to the keys and the hysterical drive moving you back to mass. You were always there to answer any medical questions I had. Rest In Peace my friend.
