Giuseppe Castiglia


Giuseppe Castiglia, 91, passed away at home on Thursday, February 28, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Stella (Gulino) Castiglia for 57 years. Giuseppe was born and raised in Riesi, Sicily he was the son of, Calogero Castiglia and Giuseppina Castiglia. He was a devoted father and is survived by his three sons: Lillo Castiglia and his wife Francesca Granata of Malden, Alessandro Castiglia and his wife Dina Arcieri of Tewkesbury and Davide Castiglia and his wife Meri Toscano of Riesi Sicily; the was the loving grandfather of: Joseph and Kristine Castiglia of Malden and Giuseppe Castiglia of Tewkesbury; also is also survived by his sister in law Nancy Gulino of Somerville along with several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

His funeral service is Tuesday, March 4, 2019 from 1-4pm at Boston Cremation, 287 Main Street, Malden, MA 02148.

    I’m truly so very sorry for your loss. I’m honored to have met your in-laws last spring, and know how much he suffered. It’s cliche to say, but at least he is at peace and experiencing the rewards of what comes next.
