Gloria Bodo
Gloria Bodo passed away peacefully on October 13, 2019 at age 95.
She was a truly remarkable person, an independent, determined and strong
woman. Gloria was born January 26, 1924 to Marietta Iacati and Francesco
Bodo and grew up in the South End of Boston with her two sisters, Vicky and
Elda. As a young woman she enjoyed outings to City Point and later to
Wingaersheek Beach and Cape Cod. She had a long career working at the
State House in Boston. After retiring, Gloria spent most of her time gardening
both vegetables and flowers at her home in Lexington. Her gardens were
beautiful and here she created a sanctuary for birds and cats in her yard. These
years were very pleasurable for her.
Gloria’s life will be honored in a private ceremony for family and
