Harvey W. McNutt

Harvey W. McNutt, 67, of Gloucester, passed away on March 5, 2017.

He was the loved brother of Bonita O’Brien and her husband John of Gloucester, Robert McNutt and his wife Debra of Billerica, Kathryn Caissie and her husband Edward of Billerica, Susan Roubian and her husband Edward of Methuen, Scott McNutt of Gloucester, Jennifer Dennen and her husband John of RI; dear father of Candace McNutt, and dear uncle many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Harvey began his career working as a heavy equipment and pile driver at various locations around the state, including on the ocean front at docks and piers. He then went to work for the IATSE, Local 481, New England Studio of Mechanics. This gave him the opportunity to show his construction talents by building movie sets for SONY Pictures.

An avid sports fan, he always cheered on the Boston teams. Harvey was very well-loved by his family, neighbors, and co-workers, and was always there to help them in any way.

A celebration of his life will be at a later time.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss.
Recently I lost my dear mother, and found
great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25
verse 8 – “The Sovereign Lord will swallow up
death forever, and wipe away the tears from
all faces.” Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we
find God’s promise to remove both pain and
death. For more comfort, I turn to the website

So sorry for the loss of your beloved Harvey. Although I didn’t know him personally, the last few months of the pictures that were shared, the family gatherings, the laughs, and the tears….brought me to know Harvey, as if he were my brother too!!! I thank you all for sharing these special memories with me, as I will forever cherish them in my heart. I know that he is at rest now, and cherishes those specials times youve all spent with him during his final stage of life. Hugs, love and prayers to you all.

    Uncle Harvey,

You had a strong voice, that had never failed to be heard. You were proud of your Native American roots, you loved your dogs and your laugh was one of the most contagious laughs I’ve ever heard. You were a safe haven to so many. I will never forget the time spent with you and the memories made. You were tough yet sentimental and I found that to be amazingly sweet and surprising. Thank you for being a influence. Thank you for being you. You will never be forgotten. I love you, always. ❤️
