  3. Kathi Lewis on July 1, 2013 at 1:00 am

Please accept my sincere sympathies for the passing of JR. I came to know your son probably 15 years or more ago as I worked in a medical office for which he frequented. JR was a wonderful friend. He always had a smile, laugh and was so warm hearted. His lessons here on this earth plane had been learned and he taught us many, many lessons with his gifts of friendship alone. He was so sincere in everything he said and did. No one could help but love him. You should be proud of the man he became and was. I am sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral but I will be there in thought with you and the entire family. JR’s spirit will always be with us. Every time we see a butterfly, a robin or a feather we shall know he is around and thinking of you as well. You will feel his gentle touch as the warm breezes caress your cheeks or the raindrops fall on your cheek, the warmth of the sun as you bask. Do not stand by his grave and weep, he is not there, he does not sleep. Peace, love and blessings to you and yours.

J.R. touched so many lives in so many ways..but always leaving them knowing they were better for meeting him..whether it be a five minute interaction or 12 years of friendship he touched your spirit. I was fortunate enough to share an office with JR at MCIR and we laughed, cried, and most importantly supported each other professionally as well as personally. J.R. will be forever thought of and spoken of with the biggest smile on my face and love in my heart; as I was truly blessed to say, I knew him.

Our hearts are heavy as you prepare for his memorial service, we are thankfull we could consider him one of our “extenced family” that is ECC.
We are visiting in RI and will be there Saturday, thankfully.

I have known JR since I moved to Waterville. I found him to be such a caring, compassionate , intelligent, and friendly individual. He always took the time to say hello and ask : ” How are you Doc?” I truly enjoyed spending time talking with him. I am very sad to hear about his illness. I extend my dearest sympathy to his family and friends. I am certain that he will be greeted with open arms at the Gates of Heaven.

My sincerest sympathies to all of Michael’s family members. I met JR many years ago when I rented him an apartment in a building on Pleasant St in Waterville I managed. He was truly a very nice man and my heart hurts for you all! I often ran into him over the years and we would always laugh that he was still in that same apartment I rented to him years ago. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and God for sure has brought him home where he will continue to shine.

JR worked in hall cottage at goodwill hinckley when I was 12. I was only there for a year but remember our time together like it was yesterday. JR was the big brother I never had, always making sure I was taken care of during my time at hinckley.

I am now 35 and for the first time since 1992 am back in the Waterville area. I looked up JR’s information hoping to find him close by. To my surprise I arrived at this page.

This saddens me greatly but that’s just due to my selfishness. I would really like to know what happened. JR helped change my life as a child and taught me lessons that shaped me into the person I am today.

Please reach out to me if anyone is willing to share.
