Janice Lee Barbaro, 80, of Revere, MA, passed away on December 26, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1943, in Malden, MA, to the late William and Ruth Musker. She was predeceased by her beloved and cherished son, Paul Barbaro. She was a devoted mother to her son Paul, as well as her daughters Tracy Barbaro and Wendy Arellano, and a caring mother-in-law to Gerardo Arellano. Janice absolutely adored her grandchildren, Ryan Barbaro, Taylor Arellano, Jesselyn Arellano, Amanda Barbaro, and Corey DiBenedetto. She also leaves behind her brothers, Robert Musker and Larry Musker, along with their respective spouses Phyllis and Chris as well as much loved nieces and nephews. Janice was a loving and selfless individual, always putting others before herself.

Janice’s career was characterized by her dedication and hard work. After raising her children, she pursued her education and obtained her GED. She then attended secretarial classes and worked as an administrative assistant for 26 years. Following her retirement, she found fulfillment in volunteering at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

In her leisure time, Janice cherished being with her family and friends. She enjoyed hunting for bargains at yard sales, exploring craft fairs, and taking long drives during the beautiful autumn season to admire the foliage.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, specifically the Boston location. Contributions can be made online at donate.lovetotherescue.org. The Shriners Hospital holds a special place in the hearts of Janice’s loved ones, as they provided exceptional care to someone dear to them.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at 9am at Trinity Evangelical Church located at 105 Haverhill St, North Reading, MA 01864.
