JoAnn MacDonald, 76, of East Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024. Born in Boston to the late Domenick and Philomina, JoAnn was a lifelong resident of the city she loved with her late husband Vincent. 

A woman of deep faith and traditional values, JoAnn lived a life marked by quiet strength and a commitment to her family. She was a source of comfort and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering kindness and the laughter she shared will forever echo in the hearts of her loved ones. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother, and her gentle presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. 

Survived by her three devoted children, who were her pride and joy, her two sisters, who shared in the journey of her life, and her three cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her later years. 

A service to celebrate JoAnn’s life and her journey to everlasting peace will be held in the coming days. The family will announce the details of the service, inviting all who knew and loved her to join in honoring her memory. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in JoAnn’s name, a gesture that reflects her giving spirit and her belief in the goodness of helping others. 

May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to guide and inspire us, even as she has entered into the Lord’s loving embrace.
