Joe Fitzgerald, 76, of Lowell , Massachusetts, passed away on December 18, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born on June 2, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts.  Joe was beloved husband of the late Joanne (Gallant) Fitzgerald. Joe was also the brother of the late John, Walter, Frank, Bobby, Billy and Irene Marzilli.

Joe is survived by his loving daughters, Bridget Wandell and her husband Mike, Michelle Daaboul and her husband Jeffry, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Megan, Mikey, Kaleigh Wandell, Shawna Tibbets and her husband Justin, Jenna and Jeffry Daaboul. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Ava Morel, Joey Tibbets, and Cayden, Bryelle, Alyana, and Davian Perez. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Rita Malone, Carol Boudreau, and Nadine Landry. Also, many nieces and nephews.

Joe proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the Army. His commitment and dedication to his military service were admirable and greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date to honor Joe’s memory. For those who wish to make a contribution in his honor, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors.

The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Boston Cremation in Malden, Massachusetts. They will provide assistance and support to the family during this difficult time.
