John Thomas Welford of Malden, formerly of Everett, passed away after a short illness on June 16, 2021
with his family by his side. He was 68 years old.

John was raised in Everett, the beloved son of the late George William Welford and Mary Catherine
(Conroy) and a graduate of Everett Vocational School 1971.

Beloved husband of the late Kristen Welford (Griffin). Brother of the late George W. Welford, Jr. and the
late James J. Welford. John is survived by his two sisters, Catherine T. Welford of Everett and Revere,
Rose M. Ciulla and her husband Thomas of Melrose, and his nephew Thomas J. Ciulla III of Melrose.
John loved to go fishing, take long rides to New Hampshire, Maine, and also Cape Cod. John loved being
outdoors, having cookouts and being with friends and family. He also leaves behind his beloved cat and
companion Kiwi (Pork Chop) who he loved.

A Memorial Service for John will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 in Boston Cremation, 287 Main St. Malden, MA from 9 to 11am. In lieu of flowers contributions in John’s memory can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org
