Joseph J. Scimemi


Joseph J. Scimemi, of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Madeline Scimemi of 60 years; the loving father of James Scimemi, Rosemarie Dill, Madeline Vernon, and Joseph Scimemi; adored grandfather to Jolene Dill, Robert Dill, Jr., Taylor Dill, Joseph Scimemi, Ashley Scimemi, Chantel Scimemi, Dante Scimemi Vernon, Maxwell Scimemi, Samuel Scimemi and Erika Apicella; loving father-in-law to Robert Dill and Michael Vernon; great-grandfather to Justin Savage, Jr., Emil Hovanesian, Jr., Nevaeh Scimemi and Allen Scimemi along with several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are all invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 9am-noon at Boston Cremation, 287 Main Street, Malden, MA 02148.

    Our Dear Scimemis, Where does One begin?? Joe was always the most fun,generous one of a kind massive personality Guys in the World. My Family have always loved Joe and Family and always will. When I heard about Joe from My cousin Donna I was blown away especially because I’m sure Everyone always will think of Joe Forever Young . That’s His Image in Our Hearts and Minds.
