Kathleen Mary (Hurley) Hallett (1971-2024)


Kathleen Mary (Hurley) Hallett formerly of Melrose and Lynn passed away peacefully on Friday morning April 19, 2024, at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, MA. She was 52. She was raised and educated in Melrose (MHS ‘89) and earned an associate degree from Bunker Hill Community College, later settling in Malden where she raised her family. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann (Wheeler) Hurley. She is preceded in death by her sister Karen Hurley of Lowell and brother Paul Hurley of Las Vegas. Devoted mother to Cameron and Alison Hallett, and her beloved cat Ed who was always by her side. Kathleen is survived by her husband Gordon Hallett of Medford, sister Deborah Hurley, brothers Michael Hurley of Lynn and Charles T Hurley of Tiverton RI., Joyce (Wheeler) Kelliher and her husband John Kelliher, cousins Beth (Kelliher) D’Amario, John Kelliher Jr., Brendan C. Kelliher, Robin Lynn (Blanchette), Wendy Blanchette (Mowry) and many nieces & nephews. Kerri Zanatta & her husband JP, Maryanne McGuirk, Caitlin Gahagan and her husband Owen who were by her side at the time of her passing. Kathleen worked as a business office manager for several nursing & rehabilitation facilities in her career. Kathleen was a beautiful person inside and out who loved her family and the many friends she collected over the years. She loved going to the beach especially, White Horse Beach in Manomet as a young girl with her family and later in life with her husband and children and her extended family of friends. She loved her pet cats Max, Ed, Bella & Princess. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving & Christmas. Rest In Eternal Peace “Pinka”.
