Kenneth Edward Gorton


Kenneth Edward Gorton, 84, of North Attleboro, MA, formerly of Canton, MA.

Passed away on Saturday, January 28th with his family at his side.

Born February 19,1938 in Boston, MA, to Dorothea Jean Gorton (Coffin) and Leroy Edward Gorton. He graduated from Canton High School in 1956. Joined the Navy Sea Bees and proudly served his country from 1956 through 1962. He was also a member of the Amvets Post 51 in Randolph. 

He is survived by his wife and High School sweetheart, Louise E. Gorton (Sawyer), daughter Lori Ann Porteleki, and her husband Charles of North Attleboro MA, son Paul Edward Gorton and his wife Nancy, and grandchildren Ryan E. Gorton and Alicia M. Gorton of Randolph, Niece Susan Klebick of Greensburgh PA. Also survived by son Kevin Anderson of Rockland, Godson Brian Anderson also of Rockland and son Jeffrey Ludy and his wife Elizabeth of Middleboro, Sister in-law Virginia Leonard of Sanford NC, and many nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

A memorial Service will be held on February 6, 2023 from 10am – 12pm  At: Boston Cremation, 115 North Main St., Mansfield, MA 02048

A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Randolph Amvets post following the memorial service.  Amvets post 51, 9 Amvets Ln. Randolph, MA 02368

    Lori, So sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of enjoying visits with your parents and the beautiful trains Ken loved so much. My love to you and family as well as prayers for God’s peace and comfort during this sad time.
