Malvina “Millie” G. (Garro) Boudreault


Malvina F (Garro) Boudreault, 77, wife of the late Robert G Boudreault passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Tuesday January 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 7,1946 and was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Quarterone) Garro. Malvina was born and raised in Salem, Mass.  She was a graduate of Salem High School.

Millie began her employment at Foodland grocery store in downtown Salem. She then worked for Sylvania Electric for many years.  She was also employed by Saltonstall School cafeteria and then Caldor’s clothing department.

Millie was a fun-loving soul that loved life. She was energetic and enjoyed spending time with her children and hosting family gatherings. Millie would always open her home and beautiful yard on countless hot summer days for pool parties. All of her siblings, nieces, and nephews have many fond memories of Aunty Millie’s gathering’s.

One of Millie’s many hobbies was crocheting. Millie was blessed with the gift of putting her hands to good use. She made beautiful sweaters, hats, and mittens for all of her nieces and nephews. If you were having a baby then you were getting a hand-crafted blanket from Millie.

Millie is survived by her two children; one son Robert G Boudreault Jr, and a daughter Holly A and her husband George Hobson. Millie also had one granddaughter, Brianna N Boudreault all from Danvers.

She also leaves behind 5 siblings; Mary Lee Stanton, Tony Garro, Cindy and her husband Paul Prato, Cookie and her husband Dean, Lisa and her husband Loren Cade; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and numerous friends.

Millie was predeceased by her loving sisters Philomena Nicholson, and Diane Chalifour; two loving nephews Joey Chalifour and Richard Prato; also a brother and sister-in-law Michael Stanton and Diane Garro.

    So sorry to hear of Millie passing. I fondly remember these pool parties. It was so much fun to swim and spend time with my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I’m forever grateful to Aunty Millie and family for those priceless memories and moments. I pray strength and peace find their way to Robert, Holly, and closest family through this difficult time. Aunty will be missed.

    Sorry to hear of Millie’s passing. When I think of her I will remember the laughter. It’s hard to loose a parent. But remember she is with her mother and sisters making laughter with them. She will be missed by a lot of people. We will pray for both of you and your family.

    My dear sister Millie, may you rest in peace. Thank you for all the times you did my hair in pretty ringlets for school. I will miss your sence of humor. Holly thank you for taking such good care of your mother. My condolences to you Robert. And to your daughter. Millie ,i will always remember the time that you took Mom’s easter eggs off her bush outside of her home,boy mom was so mad. She thought someone stole her beautiful eggs. Then you returned them on her bush. You laughed so hard, mom always knew it was you that it was you and si did I. Yes Millie you made us all laugh. I miss your craziness ,laughter, and the love you had for your children and grandaughter. Now your rest my dear sister. ♥ see you up there. 💋 😘
