Michael Charles Stanley, 69, of Beverly, MA, passed away on June 29, 2023. Born on December 11, 1953, in Lawrence, MA, he was a beloved son of the late Joan Castenada (Hamel) and Charles Stanley.

Mike was truly a one-of-a-kind gentleman who will not be forgotten. He spent decades of his life waiting tables at fine restaurants throughout the greater Boston area, touching many people’s lives along the way. He was brimming with historical knowledge, a true student of the world, he traveled and was always reading. Mike had an impressive book collection and was a champion of the written word and educating oneself. He would always encourage others to “read books!” His ability to make people laugh with ease and his treasure trove of stories made him a joy to be around. Mike had compassion and heart, caring for every being around him. He was a good friend to many and worked with numerous people over the years, leaving a positive impact on their lives. If you were lucky enough to be in his presence, you experienced the magnetic and powerful energy he exuded. Mike kept it real, never sugar-coated anything. He lived life with passion. He was bold, yet humble, and will be deeply missed. The memories he left us with will be cherished forever. We love you, Mike!

Michael is survived by his sister Kathy Orr, brother Kevin Rapisarda, sister-in-law Carol Santos, niece Vita Rose, brother Brian Stanley, stepmother Patricia Stanley, and many more loving family members.

In honoring Michael’s life, a private gathering will be held for close family and friends to celebrate his memory.
