Richard B. Polito


Richard Brian Polito, 58, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2021, at his home in Revere.

He was born December 19, 1962, in Boston, MA. He was the son of Lois L. (Fawcett) Polito and the late Richard O. Polito.

Born and raised in Boston, Richard was a family-oriented person who particularly loved being with his grandchildren. He was a devoted, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Family was the most important aspect of his life. He loved animals, entertaining with family and friends, baking, and traveling, he frequently visited Las Vegas, NV, Florida, and the local Dunkin’ Donuts.

Richard is survived by his daughters Holli Polito and her partner Luis Moreno of Saugus, Emma Cedrone of Revere, and Stevie LaFleur of Fitchburg and two grandchildren, Brendan, and Marianna; Mother Lois L. Polito and her husband George DioGuardi of Revere, MA; Brothers Douglas S. Polito of FL, and Brian K. Polito and his wife Maria of NY; Sister Jennifer Olson and husband Gregory of Lynn. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard O. Polito, and his sister, Dorothy G. Polito.

Services: Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 9am-11am at Boston Cremation, 287 Main St., Malden, MA 02148. A celebration of life reception will also take place following the service at the Orient Heights Yacht Club, 61 Bayswater St., East Boston, MA 02128, from 1pm – 5pm. Everyone is invited to bring and share photos, stories, and memories.
