Robert LaPorta (1955-2023)


Robert LaPorta, 68, of Revere, MA, passed away suddenly on September 25, 2023. He was born in Boston, MA on June 4, 1955, to the late Pasquale and Virginia LaPorta. 

Robert was a devoted husband to Annette LaPorta, with whom he shared 40 years of unwavering love and commitment. He was a loving and proud father to his three daughters, Deseree Joy, Alicia LaPorta, and Tyra LaPorta. Robert also adored his granddaughter, Layla Joy, and cherished his son-in-law, Nathan Joy. He was a loving brother to his sister, Stella Smith, and his brother, Vincent LaPorta and a caring son to his late parents.

Robert cherished his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. In his career, Robert worked as a courier for Quest Diagnostics ensuring the swift and secure delivery of specimens. He took pride in his work and approached it with dedication and integrity. Robert had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for metal detecting, and coin collecting always on the lookout for hidden treasures. Camping and fishing was another favorite pastime of his, where he found solace in the peacefulness of nature. These hobbies allowed him to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Robert will be remembered for his loving nature, sense of humor, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He leaves behind a lasting impact on his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories and laughs they shared together. 

In accordance with his wishes, Robert will be privately cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor his memory, allowing family and friends to come together and share stories, laughter, and cherished memories.

Robert LaPorta will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, love, and gentle spirit will forever be remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.

    I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing.. He was an amazing guy who would make you laugh. My mom, Annette and Bob shared great adventures to Dog Town on there haunted searches.. Prayers and healing to his entire family..

    We have had many laughs and shared alot of fun times with each 2! My favorite is when Bob was standing at my back door not saying a word… then I turned and screamed. Lol he always helped the kids with their bikes. He was so wonderful and helpful. He will be deeply missed! RIP Bob. Xoxo
