Robin Gonsalves (1961-2023)


Robin Gonsalves, age 61, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Boston, MA. He was born on December 17, 1961, in Malden, MA, and was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather. Robin’s devotion to his family was unparalleled, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

Robin was a hardworking man who took pride in his work. He had a strong work ethic and would often start his day before the sun rose, armed with a large cup of coffee. Robin’s dedication extended beyond his profession, as he always put his family first. He adored his mother, Marjorie, and had a close bond with his siblings: Ronda, Raquel, Rusty, Ricky, and Renee.

In his free time, Robin enjoyed various activities that fueled his adventurous spirit. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and the Broncos. Robin had a passion for motorsports and would jump at the chance to race anything with a motor. He particularly loved dirtbike riding and snowmobiling, always seeking the thrill of the ride.

Robin is survived by his children, Nick Johnson and his wife Jenna Johnson, Jaycee and Cory Gonsalves, and Karlee Gonsalves. He was also a proud grandfather to Cameron, Justin, Bella, Connor, Emma, and Nicholas. Robin’s love for his family knew no bounds, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy and Charlie, his wife Kerry, and his father Stewart. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who loved Robin.

A private cremation service will be held at Boston Cremation, located at 287 Main St, Malden, MA 02148. Following the service, a celebration of Robin’s life will take place at Mount Vernon Restaurant & Pub, situated at 14 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02145.

Robin Gonsalves will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, dedication, and adventure will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

    My deepest condolences on the passing of Cousin Robin. Cousin Robin will always be remembered by me for his fun and outgoing personality, his infectious smile, his crazy and hilarious sense of humor and most of all the love he always showed me. He was a such a loving, kind and gentle soul, always making everyone laugh and always filled with so much positive energy.
    He always had a joke to crack, he always had a great story to tell and he always had a way to brighten your day.
