What do you say when you can’t find the words? When you don’t want to live in the reality? I am so grateful for all that we had. The family that we raised, the laughs that we shared, the tears that we cried. I am forever thankful for sharing our children but you opening my eyes and heart to two other beautiful beings was a whole different kind of love. Thank you.

They complete each other like you once completed me. Time slipped away. You were invincible. You carried the weight of the world I could not bare. You always had a way to make things work. There was nothing you could not fix, nothing you could not handle. I love you so much for that. Our children feel empty without you, I feel broken. You were the love of my life. It may have changed but it didn’t. You at your best, that smile, that laugh, your koala naps, and simple way of making things fit seamlessly. I love you. I miss you. We need you. You were tired. Your body was exhausted, you carried the weight of the world because you wanted better for all of us. I am so grateful. My babies. Your babies. It’s a legacy that is more powerful than us. Assets to the world. Good people. Because of you, the best parts of you.
So many influential moments in my life were built around our need to do better, to love them, to shelter them. I look at them and see you. A true reflection of the man, the myth, the legend… Dave Mcguff and the fantastic 5! Thank you for loving me. For holding me. For helping me become the person I am today. My heart hurts. It’s shattered. I am broken. But your children are my reason. Thank you for being my person. You were tired, your body was tired. You tapped me in. Tag team- I will carry the weight of the world, I will hold them and think of you, I will wipe their tears, and cheer them on. I will never understand why heaven needed you more, or maybe you needed it more. Your resting with grandma. Close your eyes, take a break, put those hands to rest. Watch over us, continue to love and protect us. I got you, forever. I love you. I miss you. I still need you. More now than ever before. Give me strength.
I love you to the moon and back, infinity and beyond, forever and ever AMEN
    Roses on your pillow

Dave, you were easily one of my best friends throughout the years that I’ve worked with you, the way you always found a way to make things funny, and the way you seemed to make every job that we did easy by how hard of a worker you were. I have the utmost respect for you and I will miss you dearly . You’ll always have a special place in everyone’s hearts and always be remembered as “cowboy” in my books, until we meet again my friend.
