William Richter

William “ Bill “ Richter of Seabrook NH formerly Methuen MA passed away on January 21 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1973. He was able to follow his dream of becoming a Plumber. He worked with several companies before he opened his own business.

He took great pride in in his work which led him to be known as Picasso. He possessed great skills and was a problem solver. His other passion was fishing. He was a skilled surfcaster and made many friends on the beaches of Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. He and his wife fished the MV Derby together for the past 14 years.

He will be missed by his wife Ellen who he has loved for 48 years, his son Jeffrey of Methuen who he was very proud of, his mother Else of Lawrence MA, brother Arthur and his wife Ana of Boston and Honolulu, sister Gail Bova and her husband Paul of Methuen, his sister Pam Jefferson and husband Dav of Greer S. Carolina. He will be missed by his grandchildren Faith, Rory and Ezra who lovingly called him Boopa, his mother in law Jane Vondell of Andover, brother in law Daan Vondell and his partner Sharon Fluet of Andover and many friends.

After a day of fishing he would always say never look back, instead he will be looking down on us to be sure we are all ok. At his request he was cremated through Boston Cremation and wanted no services. If you would like to honor his memory take a kid fishing. Tight lines until we see you again
